Sweet Favors for a Valentine Wedding

Creative and elegant, these ribbon-tied long glassine envelopes filled with tasty after-dinner treats make a perfect and inexpensive wedding favor. Place several of these favors on a silver platter at the entrance to the reception hall. As your guests leave the reception, they can easily help themselves to a "glassy" favor on their way out. Or have a single square of treats in the center of the guest's plate greet your guest upon arrival at her assigned seat.

Materials Needed for White-ribbon Favor (pictured above):
1 3/4" x 9 1/2" Glassine envelopes Click here to Purchase!
5/8" wide white sheer ribbon
White Paper
Valentine sweets of your choosing

   White-ribbon Favor Instructions
Fill the glassine envelope with your favorite treats. Take the open end of the envelope and fold several times until it meets the edge of the candy. Poke a hole in the center of the fold. Take a piece of white ribbon and fold in half, bringing the two raw ends together. Tie the ends in a simple knot. Thread the folded end of the ribbon through the hole. Pull the ribbon until you cannot pull anymore — the knot meets the opening of the fold. Use a computer to generate decorative personalized labels and affix the label directly below the ribbon's knot.

Materials Needed for Red-ribbon Favor (pictured below):
2 3/4" x 2 3/4" Glassine envelopes Click here to Purchase!
1/4" wide red sheer ribbon
White Paper
Valentine sweets of your choosing

   Red-ribbon Favor Instructions
Fill the glassine envelope with your favorite treats. Fold the round-flap to seal the envelope. Decoratively tie the square envelope with a ribbon that matches one of your wedding colors. Use a computer to generate a decorative, personalized label and poke a small hole on one end of the label. Thread one of the ribbon's tails through the hole. Tie the tail in a knot to secure the label.
